Choirs perform at Sir David Amess Tribute concert at Cliffs Pavilion.

Updated: Apr 10

Southend Choirs were proud to perform at the Southend City Concert for Sir David Amess at the Cliffs Pavilion on Sunday 13th February 2022.

The concert was packed out and including performances from Performers included The Music Man Project, led by CEO and founder David Stanley MBE, of which Sir David was a patron. Other performers were The Show Choir, Southend Vox & Chamber Choir, Leanne Jarvis, Cantare, The Leigh Orpheus Male Voice Choir, The Two Elizabeths, Joe Palmer, Digby Fairweather and his band, and Steel Here – a special coming together of members of three top amateur dramatic societies.

We were very honoured to have taken part in the show and it is a fitting tribute to Sir David and the city status of Southend on Sea.

Proceeds form the concert went to five charities that Sir David supported and loved: The Music Man Project, Dame Vera Lynn Memorial Statue, Dogs Trust, Prost8 and Endometriosis UK.
